Champy (Maison) Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2009 - Burgundy, France

Pale cherry red with rusty brown edges. The subdued nose spans from dried tomato, crushed flowers and a little whisper of mixed mushrooms. The palate is wound tight at this stage of its life showing some tart raspberry and firm tannin to finish. This wine may unlock in a few years. To be honest, I expected a touch more from a young drinking vintage that is 2009.
